World Extreme Medicine
World Extreme Medicine is the largest global extreme medics network, and it all started in Devon. WEM provides medical training in the remotest locations around the world, even in space! I partnered with my PR associate Sharon Goble in 2022/23 to raise the profile of the work of WEM both locally and nationally, including the annual conference. We loved working with founder Mark Hannaford, and I wrote a spectacular piece about him for Devon Life. I also secured an eight page feature in Readers Digest, and multiple news stories. Of particular personal pride was our work supporting WEM’s Medics4Ukraine initiative, which provides (to this day) medical supplies and training for frontline medics in Ukraine.
