Glossy floors, funky countertops and skills that date back to the Romans – gotta love those Romans!
All things marble, granite and terrazzo are found at Diespeker & Co in South East London. I was initially called in to write copy for the company’s new website via agency, Terra Ferma Media. I met with MD John Krause and we clicked – well, I love a bit of shiny marble. Since then, I’ve been working with Diespeker through Terra Ferma on a retained PR contract, promoting the business via case studies and news stories in national trade press. I was editor for Diespeker’s inaugural magazine, and helped create a terrazzo CPD. During lockdown I ran a terrazzo design competition which was a huge success.
Diespeker works with a diverse set of materials and clients and I frequently find myself researching interesting topics such as granite sourced from the Alps, marble from Portugal and glass from China. I’m quite the authority on the production of terrazzo and its close cousin, resin based terrazzo.
